A Path to a Career in Healthcare March 20 & 21, 2024 at 10 AM

Paths to Success is an opportunity for alumni who have succeeded in different career fields to return to campus to discuss their journeys as well as answer questions and offer guidance to current students about pursuing similar paths, starting at SUNY Ulster.
 
A Path to a Career in Healthcare will feature SUNY Ulster alumni Dr. Linda Mundy, Dr. Lisa Schulte, and Dr. Kol Zarember. There will be a moderated Q&A from 10:00 - 10:45 am and then breakout sessions with the speakers from 10:45 - 11:30 am.
 
This event is FREE and open to the public, although registration is required. Please register by 4:00 pm the day before the event.

SUNY Ulster Launches Paths to Success, Alumni Panel Series Sept 29

The first panel featured the following accomplished attorneys as well as a NYS Supreme Court Justice:

The panel answered many important questions about pursuing a career in law, including what it takes to be successful in law school; how to limit student debt; the benefits of studying other curriculum prior to law; how to choose a course of study; and much more.

November 16: A Path to a Career in Data Science

Steve MazzucaSTEVE MAZZUCA, '78, is a retired IBM Principal Data Scientist and Executive Project Manager who has hands-on expertise in data analysis, quality management, process improvement, and Lean Six Sigma, which he used to drive continual improvement in targeted business operations. He holds eight patents and has degrees in Physics, Italian, and Electrical Engineering. He is a member of the Town of Gardiner Climate Smart Committee, Chair of the Mid-Hudson ASQ (American Society for Quality) Section, and President of the Board of Directors for Mid-Hudson Works.

Steve's presentation gave an overview of what data science is and covered the specialties and skills needed to be successful in this career field.
