How to Apply for a Scholarship
If you are an existing student: you can complete the application after signing in at our Scholarship Applicant page. After you complete the application, please expect 5-10 business days to hear back.
If you are a new student: Start by completing our Student Sign up You will receive a login and password in about 24 hours. After you have your new credentials you can follow the steps above as an Existing Student.
If you're unsure about your eligibility for Scholarships or other Financial Aid opportunities, fill out our Financial Aid Inquiry form and someone will get back in touch with you.
Reimagine Workforce Preparation
Under the Reimagine Workforce Preparation grant, SUNY supports community colleges' short-term and career pathway programing to train individuals impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic to prepare them for jobs in in-demand industries including healthcare and advanced manufacturing. Trainings lead to certificates, badges, microcredentials, or other workplace-relevant credentials that respond to the needs of employers.

Reimagine funding at SUNY Ulster can be used for these programs:
- Enhanced Certified Pharmacy Technician
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant
- Advanced Manufacturing Pre-Apprenticeship Microcredential
- CNC Pre-apprentice Microcredential
SUNY Workforce Development Training Grant – Pathways Track
The SUNY Workforce Development Training Grant – Pathways Track provides funding for SUNY community colleges to operate workforce development/job training programs to address training needs for businesses and organizations in local communities.

Pathways funding at SUNY Ulster can be used for these programs:
- Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) Microcredential
- Advanced Manufacturing Pre-apprentice Microcredential
- CNC Pre-apprentice Microcredential
- Cut and Sew Microcredential
- Small Business Management Microcredential (available for fall 2023)
NYSERDA Grant Opportunities
Through a special grant opportunity with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), select courses in our Green Careers program are being offered at a reduced rate. This rate will automatically be applied at checkout (NOTE: the full price will be shown until you reach the checkout page).
