Library Services for SUNY Ulster Alumni

Did you know your library privileges do not end at graduation? As a SUNY Ulster graduate, you may continue to borrow library materials. There is no fee and the card may be renewed annually at no charge. A photo ID is required when obtaining your alumni library card.

As an alumnus, you also have remote access to two databases licensed for alumni:

  • Academic Search: Alumni Edition is designed for the research needs of the post-college professional. The database provides full text for more than 3,350 journals as well as indexing and abstracting for more than 8,200 journals. Academic Search: Alumni Edition also includes valuable peer-reviewed full text journals, offering critical information from many sources.
  • Business Source: Alumni Edition is designed for the research needs of the post-college professional. The database provides 1,540 full text business magazines and journals, of which 780 are peer-reviewed. This database includes publications in nearly every area of business including marketing, management, MIS, POM, accounting, finance, econometrics, economics and more.

To access these databases, send your name, address, email address and dates of attendance to library@sunyulster.edu. A library staff member will contact you to give you the appropriate access information.

Our reference staff is also available to you, and you can seek assistance from our reference staff by email, askref@sunyulster.edu, or by calling the reference desk at 845-687-5208.

And More ..

The Library Writers Series brings renowned writers to our campus every fall. Each guest writer hosts a question and answer session in the student lounge during the day, returning in the evening for a reading of their work in the theater. This program is open to all – students, alumni, and community members.

The Ellen Robbins Poetry Forum is an annual event which brings well known and award winning poets to SUNY Ulster for intimate question and answer sessions, as well as a special evening reading of their poetry.
