Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL)

COIL Global Scholarships

COIL classes allow students to study with students from other countries without the cost of travel. These classes use Internet-based tools like Skype and Moodle to connect with students from other institutions around the globe. Students from partnering colleges in other countries enroll in shared courses with faculty members from each country co-teaching and managing the coursework.

SUNY Ulster is a leader among SUNY campuses in creating dynamic overseas partnerships. We offer COIL classes in many of our programs. Participating in a COIL class provides students with experiences sought after by employers as well as transfer colleges and universities.
