Transfer Scholarships

There are many scholarship opportunities and resources available to graduating and transferring SUNY Ulster students that are not managed by the Ulster Community College Foundation, Inc.  The following lists include scholarship opportunities for graduates of SUNY Ulster who plan to attend a four year college.

Cornell

Robert O. Davenport Memorial Scholarship

Robert O. Davenport earned a degree in agriculture from the Cornell School of Agriculture and Life Sciences.  As a boy of 14, Mr. Davenport learned first hand about farming at Davenport Farms in Stone Ridge.  He was an avid fisherman, hunter, skier, and golfer.  Mr. Davenport gave his time to the community as a volunteer and leader in a number of organizations including as a founding director of the Ulster Community College Foundation, Inc., serving for 29 years.  Family and Friends have established this scholarship to honor his commitment to SUNY Ulster and the community in which he lived.  Recipients are transferring students who wish to pursue a career in such areas as agriculture, wildlife conservation or other aspects of environmental studies. Preference is given to students attending Cornell or SUNY ESF.

Ulster Savings Charitable Foundation Scholarship awarded through the Ulster Savings Bank
The Ulster Savings Charitable Foundation is awarding scholarships to community minded students in good academic standing. Students eligible to apply for this scholarship must be a high school graduating senior or undergraduate college student who plans to attend a college or university in Ulster, Dutchess, Greene, Orange or Columbia Counties. Each scholarship is awarded to a student with a demonstrated background of community service, extracurricular activity and a 3.0 academic record.


 

 

Marist

Ulster Savings Charitable Foundation Scholarship awarded through the Ulster Savings Bank

The Ulster Savings Charitable Foundation is awarding scholarships to community minded students in good academic standing. Students eligible to apply for this scholarship must be a high school graduating senior or undergraduate college student who plans to attend a college or university in Ulster, Dutchess, Greene, Orange or Columbia Counties. Each scholarship is awarded to a student with a demonstrated background of community service, extracurricular activity and a 3.0 academic record.

 

Mount Saint Mary

Mount Saint Mary College Transfer Honors Scholarship
Mount Saint Mary College is reaching out to help community college graduates attain bachelor's degrees. The College will award six half tuition Transfer Honors Scholarships per academic year to one graduate from each of the following community colleges: Dutchess County, Orange County, Rockland County, Ulster County, Westchester County, and Nassau County community colleges.

Pace University

Dean's Scholarship
These prestigious scholarships are awarded to entering Transfer students who are admitted as matriculated students in a degree program.  Students must enroll full-time (at least 12 credits per term) in each Fall and Spring term until completing the Bachelor's degree program. Selection is based on academic excellence. Priority is given to those students who have completed the admissions application process by February 1.

The Dyson Foundation Scholarship

For students from Dutchess, Orange and Ulster County Community College who are majoring in secondary education and plan to transfer to SUNY New Paltz with a career goal to teach in the mathematics, science or other disciplines where shortages exist.

Ulster County Regional Chamber of Commerce Scholarship
In an effort to assist Ulster County students with the rising costs of college education, the Ulster County Regional Chamber of Commerce has established a scholarship program that awards students who are Ulster County residents pursuing a Business Administration degree or have career goals in business. Recipients may be entering or returning to Ulster County Community College or students who are graduating from Ulster County Community College and transferring to SUNY New Paltz.  The recipients are selected from the Ulster Community College Foundation, Inc. applicants by the Executive Committee of the Ulster County Regional Chamber of Commerce.
